  • Arco di Trionfo Popolare, Gene (guest) wrote 13 years ago:
This arch was built by the Italians during their colonial legacy of Italian East Africa and the inscription reads: "Arco Del Trionfo Popolare" (Arch Of The Peoples Triumph).Sadly,it has been neglected and war-torn for decades and now is in severe ruin, like most,if not all of the colonial era buildings in Mogadiscio.Actually, the seaside city was quite beautiful and dubbed: "The Florence Of Africa"in the 60's.
